alright so i did what justin did to the amp. took it off and it was fine. i put a test light on the power window motor and its fine. im stumped. is there anything else that would make the driver side window not roll up.

also the amp makes a weird click noise everytime i press the window button, not sure if that helps

hi there, i do not know what test you did to the amp...if you have an FSM, there is a section there how to test the Amp, Switch, or motor.

you will need a multi-meter though.

btw...if you need a motor, i got one posted in ebay.

The 1996 factory service manual shows that the amp is inside the main switch on drivers door. maybe some 1996 have the amp as separate unit. the wiring for 1996 power windows is simple.

what do you mean you hooked up test light to motor? does your window roll up when you apply battery voltage directly to motor. is your motor getting 12v+ and ground. Get a digital multimeter.

so, you have an amp and a main switch in driver door and this is how your car was from factory?

if you have an amp separate from the main switch on driver door, you have the 1995 system. more complicated.
