Like most s14's (95 zenki) my drivers side window was down all the way and I went to put it up and it would not go up. It happened so randomly. It will not go up at all but passenger window is fine. When I press the window button for the drivers side the amp makes a click noise but the motor doesnt move. i noticed 2 wires coming off the motor that aren't hooked up to anything.

I'm not sure whether it's the regulator, motor, or amp. However since the amp makes that noise, i'm assuming the amp is still good. Also I took apart the little white amp box and the solders on the circuit board appear to be good.

thanks

I have the same thing with my 1995 240, I just bought it. The Guy i bought it from said that it was the switch, so i took it apart. Moved the little white switch on the CB and the Amp makes a clicking noise too. I took the Amp apart and looked over it, everything looks good, but my driver side window still won't work. Does anyone Know if Nissan used the same motor on any other cars around 1995. I have a Pick and Pull Junk yard around but they dont have any 240's... Go Figure. Any help out there.

I am having the same exact problem I had a nissan tech take a look at the window amp and window switch for me and did an ohms test on 2 driver window motors (thought it was the window motor burnt so i got a new one) and they are both identical the tech said that my switch was fine and i told him my white amp box was clicking when i try to roll the window up so he checked it and said that the passenger side works but the driverside of the window amp was fried common zenki problems! So i hope that helps your problem cuzi know its irritating my window still isnt rolled up cant find anybody with window amp! If not that and your window motor is the culprit and burnt out i have a good one for sale!

The Amp looked ok inside and both sides click. I think i'll try my luck and see if I can't get my hands on another AMP then go for a Motor if that doesn't fix it. Good luck with yours

i also had the same problem where id hit the window switch and the amp would just click. sometimes it would work tho and sometimes not. acutally worked a few times when i hit the door panel right where the amp was and then it would work. Well i figured out the mystery of mine. I was f***ing with the connection of the amp and the door wiring harness. And the window worked. If i pushed on the plug into the amp it would work. So i just took some zipties and wraped it around the amp and the connection to hold them together tighter. It worked for the night and the next morning but when my car sat in the heat all day the ziptie had strectched so i had to tighten it up a little more and there no more window problem .... so maybe this could be whats wrong with yours.

keep us updated. i havn't tried the ziptie thing but i used a multimeter to test the amperage etc etc.. and i'm not getting power to or from the motor or amp so i have no idea.... it's a pain. maybe the motor but i've read that 99.9999% of the time it's the amp.

ok nevermind im retarded. Ummmmm try finding the main power wire for the window in your door and if your not getting power there then you might have a short, cut or it disconnected. The right thing to do it track down and repair (solder) But i would just run a wire from your positive and splice it to the main power wire going to the door. I hope this works for you its a pain in the a** i know. Im tired of looking at the black trash bag in my window!

I'm wondering if anyone can help me here. i recently got a '97 240SX from my uncle and i've been tinkering around with it. i just put in a new audio system and afterwards, it would appear, that my passenger side door window doesn't work anymore. the driver door window still works, but the buttons have no response to the passenger window. i'm not sure if it's the motor, or the amp, or what, but, when i push the window buttons, i don't hear a click, like you guys, i don't hear anything. i put a multimeter to it, and the actuators are still receiving power, and the window fuse is still good, but i'm at a loss. could it be my motor, or my amp???

can anyone give me any tips???

Its gotta be if you say your not getting any power to the door check to see if a plug came out or something.

Take the amp apart and see if theres a burnt part on the board or a solder joint came unsoldered.

This link has been very helpful!!!http://www.nicoclub.com/articles.php?id=245266

If everything looks good id say you shorted out your motor somehow

if your pressing the window switch and you're not getting power to the regulator or to the amp block then your switch is bad. .......

supposedly a s13 window motor will work in a s14. the difference is the amp but the motor is supposedly the same. I will be trying this out soon.
