hey gang, i'm not sure if this is the right forum for this, but i'm gonna give it a shot. from everything i have heard, 350z rims will fit on a s14, so i purchased a set right here on nico. they are a very clean set of stock 2003 17" rims without tires. my car is currently on jackstands from my recent 5 lug and lsd swap, so the suspension is unweighted. when i got the rims, i put one on the front, however, the front spring overlaps the wheel by about two inches! do these wheels only clear the suspension if you have coilovers, am i not seeing things correctly, or am i just stupid? any help you guys can provide will be much appreciated. i can't get my car off jackstands until i get some 5 lug wheels that fit it! thanks.

as far as i know stock 03 350z rims should clear stock supension.. i think they are 17x8 hi 30 offset. stock s14 are 16x7 with a stupid 40 offset.. the 30 offset will sit closer to the fender leaving you more space for brakes and coilovers... hmm you have an intresting problem.. whats your suspension setup? did you chage any suspension arms or mess with the aligment in any way?

The stock tire fits well under the shock perch too. With the stock wheels there is about another inch or so you could move inboard. The difference in overall width of the 350z tire is compensated by the 10mm gained by moving the center of the wheel outboard. Bottom line, If the 350z wheels are fitting on without actualy touching the shock body then it will be the same when the car is weighted down on the suspension.

I think if you had stock 5 lug wheels and put them on you would see it would look similar, just not as pronounced.

Take your car off the stands, it will be fine.
