S14, walbro 255. Need help fast!

I know I sound like a retard asking for help installing a fuel pump, but my friends S14 setup is way different that what I've seen before. The pump seems to be mounted to a mount that lays in the bottom of the tank. Just wanna make sure this was normal.

IIRC there's a bracket that the pump mount slides into.i know it doesn't just lay on the bottom

Makes perfect sense. When I took his out however, it was laying at the bottom of the tank. Arg. Ran out of daylight. Will try again tomorrow. Thanks for the clarification :)
