Well guys this is my dillemma I have been driving my S14 with an RB20DET swap now since September.Basically I love the engine but I have had some major wiring woes since the get go,the guy who did my dash wiring ****ed up royally and it's so far in the dumper I need like a week to figure out how to fix it or get a new harness made and plug it in and go.
Problem being is I live like a half hour away from work and this is my everyday car (cause my winter beater had a lil accident involving the front wheel falling off on the highway on me a couple weeks ago).So anyways what the issues are is this.
1.)When the car is cold I have to hold the starter over quite awile for the engine to fire,and it spudders quite heavily until resting at it's idle.
2.) For some reason when I press the clutch all the way in when the car is getting warm the idle reaches (this is by ear but like I'd say close to 2000 or more RPMS) also when it's cold and sometimes sparatically actually the car idles really high.
3.) Car is running PIG RICH like 4mpg rich lol All I can smell is gas when the car is running and I get the worst milage I ever seen,plus this problem is persisting to messing up my 120$ set of spark plugs soooooo much carbon,which I believe now is persisting to making my car even harder to start on cold mornings and making the car idle real low sometimes.
4.) I live in Atlantic Canada and it's winter now and I currently have no windsheild wipers,I have tried everything went over my wiring diagrams a million times.I am driving a 1995 240sx which has a wiper amp and the pins for the wiper motor plug is different than that of the skyline and S13 chassis wiper motor plugs.I found my wiper amp plug among my old harness for the KA and I grabbed the wiper motor plug,also I pulled all the proper colored wires from the harness so I could solder them into their own harness bypassing the wiper wires from the skyline harness which weren't carrying any power anywayz.I hooked this harness into the proper wires on the M63 or F3 plug on the dash harness...still no power to either the wiper amp plug or the wiper motor plug either.Checked the wiper fuse it's fine,checked for power to the fuse box=fine,checked power to the wiper switch= ignition power to the pink wire which is for the washer motor?!?!?!!? And then the pink wire on the dash harness for washer motor has no power?!?!!?!? However the light green wire going to the washer motor is carrying ignition power?!?!!?Weird.Anywayz to test my harness I connected the light green washer motor wire to the light green wiper harness wire and I get ignition power to the proper pin on the wiper motor plug but nothing to the wiper amp plug and nothing to the orange wire which should carry power between the wiper amp and wiper motor.I have checked the dash wires and none of the ones I am using carry ignition power?!?!!?Any ideas would help here lol Sorry for the story,I thought this might give you technical whizes a challenge lol.
5.) DOES ANYONE HAVE A FSM FOR AN R32 SKYLINE GTS-T????Mine sucks and it has no proper wiring diagrams nore does it have wire colors.
6.) My fuel pump doesn't prime and then shut off if I leave the ignition on the pump will run until the battery dies.
7.) Non of my gauges work tach,temp, speedo I got covered,fuel gauge works and my aftermarket boost gauge does too.
8.) Reverse lights aren't working!!!!
9.) In order to get power to the ignition coils my awesome wiring guy..:P realized once we grounded wires out to the eccs and coil relays the coils got power so he did some thing with adding 2 more 5 pin bosch relays in there to make them work on switched ignition.couple days later the fuel pump stopped comming on so I went in there with a test light and low and behold when I grounded out my black/pink fuel pump relay wire the fuel pump turned on,needing the car for work I just ran a body ground and drove it.This is my wiring conundrum that I'm talking about.Actualy after these couple things is when the reverse lights and tach stopped working too now that I think about it.
10.) I know I'm screwed and I know I need to take the car off the road to redoe eveything but I have to WORK and due to various things....Christmas and tickets,and F-ing DHL brokerage I am poor and need to fix this stuff myself and ASAP.Sorry for the rant but this is steessing me slightly lol.
Thanks for taking the time to read this guys and help where you can...NICO has been my saving grace in alot of situations and I'm sure you guys wil prove me right again.
