Okay, as a temporary wheel I have a chance to pick up a set of stock Evo 8 Rims with tires for 400 bucks (new tires too) and I think they would look decent for the time being...

Anyways Ive searched and searched and I don't know enough about wheels to determine this so I ask.

Will a stock Evo 8 Rim (17x8) w/ 235/45/17s (front and rear) fit a Zenki with Tein Flex Coilovers?

I'd appreciate no stupid answers. Just a yes or no would be awesome. I plan on picking these up tonight or tomorrow.

Would be really sunken. With that money you could get a set of properly sized sportmax rims...Since they're just temporary.

I mean for 400 bucks with almost brand new Potenza tires, I can't find a better deal. I did find some ASA AR1s (17x8) with a little curb rash on one wheel and 2 destroyed tires and 2 half tread 225 dunlops.

I figure I get the same size rim in better shape and new tires for the same damn price. And after seeing some pictures of a Zenki with evo 8 rims... I actually kind of dig it.

Spacers are required to run a + 38 on a coilover set-up?

I am coming from running stock Mazda Rims on my FC and whatever the cheapest used tires I could find to drift on. So my knowledge of wheel fitment is quite poor...

I'd say, 15mm spacer, minimum. With coils, you're going to need to be less than +25 offset generally speaking.

I mean 15mm at minimum... what is the most I should run?

I just want a good stance on it.

You may need a bit of a spacer simply to clear the coilovers, as in 5mm max. For a good stance, depending on how low and cambered you want it, between a 25mm spacer and a 35mm spacer would be good.

^^

Someone else confirm please? I only need 5mm to drive the car? And a 15-20-25mm to look sweet?

I'm talking for the fronts. In the front, generally a 9J +22 is considered the farthest in you can go in the fronts. That equals a 8J +35 in terms of inner clearance. Here, you can calculate for yourself:http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

A good spacer size for the rear is probably between 30-35mm.

Alright, screw it I'm just gonna buy new rims and get the size and the offset I wanted and not do this whole wheel spacer game.

That's a good call. I was gonna say you could get the Evo wheels as winter wheels, but as you live in Georgia that doesn't seem like it'd be too much of an issue, lol.

Yeah, its really not an issue. My car isn't my daily anyway just my weekend car.

I got a F250 Superduty 6.0 Diesel for my everyday/work truck.
