S14 VSS, searching brings up contradicting info

I'm in the process of trying to figure out how to wire my KA 5spd into my Lexus. I have done some searching, and I can't find a conclusive answer, hoping you guys can clear this up for me so I can have a functioning speedo.

Is the signal from the VSS Digital, or Analog?

What is the pulse frequency for the S14 VSS?

The VSS output is definately analog and is wired to the Combination Meter. The Combination Meter Converts to a square wave pulse and sends that signal to the ECU. I am also trying to find out the PPM output for an S14 manual transmission. We're you able to find anythig yet?
