That is incorrect, they are the minor change S14. The S15 was never released in America.

There is no change other than the headlights and the taillights. Its the same as the 95-96 other than that.

The S15 is an improved chassis, theres a ****load thats better about them.

Theres no point in modifying your S14, its a different chassis, and it will never be up to the S15 standard. If you just want to look like a S15, you can get conversion kits. As far as importing it, you better have a plan, they cost about 20k US in Japan, then expect about 6k to get it to you and it will be illegal. Theres nothing you can change about it always being illegal. Its also RHD, can you drive RHD? And even if you can, cops will notice it and pull you over, and then find you have an illegal car. : ) If you have a way around this ( there are a few ) then good luck to you.

For the cost you mgiht as well drop a high horsepower SR20 in yoru SR14 and mod the hell out of the suspension. : )

After a brief look in the swedish registry of chassi codes all S14's start with GBAS14U no matter if it is a -94 or a -98. Here have all cars turbo so the codes might be different though. The facelift with new front and bumbers is referred to as S14a.

yeah id love to have a s15 too. i want that 6 speed transmission. but i think the only other real differences is the chassis a little, transmission, enhanced fuel system, and then the bod of course. but the main thing i want is the transmission. i might just try to get one over here, im betting it would bolt right up into the s14, maybe with a few modifications to the transmission mounts, but it would be worth it.

Isn`t there a way you can get the car imported `For competition purposes only`? You still wouldn`t be able to drive it on the street, but you`d be able to take it to track days, autocrosses, drag strips, etc.. on a trailer. I`ve also heard that a lot of cars slip through in Miami.. but I wouldn`t take a chance on it.

i think you can actually get one legal over here. i know theres a way. ive heard a few things about the bracing in the doors in some cars has to be changed, and i also know on some cars you have to change the one red reverse lense on the back to clear. someone also told me that the emissions are different, but i think that the emissions are actually more strict over there. but i think most of its just the structural support in the doors. i thnk they try to make them lighter in japan. but i know theres a way to get them over here. you could probably get one shipped, but it might cost.

the other day i was driving in this little city next to mine called lodi and i saw a car at a light with a right side drive. NO, it wasnt the mail man. I think it was a suzuki samurai, and it was painted camo. (If you been to lodi before this is almost normal its a hick town..anyways...) But the point remains, he was driving it around. Of course, any good lodi police would have got him on sight but when theres a will theres a way (and dont ask me why someone would bring over a jeep)

The Suzuki Samauri is one of most bad-@ss yet under-rated trucks ever built. It has limitless potential to be built into a SERIOUS off-road truck. They are built to handle WAY more than they come with stock. The drivetrain is very stout. They are small and go anywhere in the woods.. even stock. I would love to find a Japanese Samauri... that would be a sweet one to hang onto! Oh.. BTW, they are easlily converted to RHD.. as are older Jeep CJ's.

One of my friends has a samurai, i dont see whats THAT great about them. When you launch it seems like your not even going fast, cuz u arent. I could see for off road use... I went to Taiwan and Thailand for vacation a year back and we rented samurais to go sight seeing up in the thai mountains and let me tell you, those things got trouble going up hills. practically rolled backwards, it would start shuddering and it scared the hell out of me. It mightve been crapped up, tho, it was a rental car in a impoverished country. It was fun driving Right side 2
