Just curious, I got into this discussion with someone from FreshAlloy:
Supposedly when the S14 VLSD is installed into the S13 (after back cover switched) the front 'snout' is poorly supported in the S13 chassis. Which in turn means lots of stress to the diff's cover from the driveshaft twisting/moving around. Is this true? Do I need to get the S14 diff. bushing kit they sell at SPL to keep anything bad from happening? He mentioned in extreme cases (even w/ my autocrossing) the diff cover could crack. I've never really heard of this issue in S13's, but then again I don't think a lot of people on this board have S14 VLSDs in their S13s.
