Hey guys I'm getting a 98 5 spd engine/transmission, and was just wondering what the quarter miles times have been with a turbo, intake, exhaust. Also please state where you got the turbo and what you paid for it, including labor.

Also, I want to know what people's S14 quarter miles times have been with out a turbo, just like intake, exhaust, etc. POST POST POST, thanks.

Thanks, I'm in the market for a turbo.

While I dont know what my car runs with a turbo I know there is one (jay) local running 12's. But it is not a standard setup.

That is also my route but Ive had my 96 for 3 yrs and I had a 91 prior to that. As far as total cost goes it varies with the setup. I do know the labor will be free, as I will do it myself. Also the turbo and its various other components wont go in untill I convert it to a 5sp and install a r200v as well, which is the next faze.

As far as NA times go, Ive managed a best of 15.702 and other 15.7 runs at various times in the last year. This is in my auto equipped 96 though. I have done to my car thus far, jwt pop charger incased in a sealed ram air setup, HS intake tube thermal wrapped, electric fan swap, 24° timing and disabled egr system, 91' cams, HS headders, Apexi N1 exhaust, Front and rear stb, whiteline anti sway bar kit, koni yellows, progress 1.5" progressive rate springs, replicated nismo power brace (tension rod bracket brace) with energy suspension tension rod bushings, and possibly something else I forgot.

Can still be made faster with the aid of pullies, more fuel with jwt ecu upgrade / s-afc, even with the automatic slush box. But so far with what I have I have dropped 2 secs off of my first runs. With a 5 speed I should easilly be low 15 as my 2.4 60' is rather shoddy.

Edit: I would also like to state my car is geared more towards handling hence the suspension components out numbering the engine components. I have had more fun on the course in my last two events then I did this past year at the strip.
