s14 transmission with s13 sr?

I have been searching to find out if I can use the s14 sr20det transmission with the s13 sr20det?

SR engines are identical aside from the performance aspects.

Out of satisfaction for my own curiosity what's the reason for putting s14 transmission on s13?

You have it the wrong way around. I'm pretty sure he has an S13 SR and trying to use it with his S14 transmission.

for one, the transmision that i got with my swap is screwed up. 2nd grinds while shifting in high rpms and 4th always grinds. plus i have been reading about the oil starvtion problem with the s13 transmission but was fixed in the s14. it sucks so bad i really want to take it to the local drag strip and see what it will run. And I can't race at any time attack or drift events. But if things go the way I am planning it I might rebuild the transmission, change the gears to ppg(maybe a dogbox , as seeing i should be getting another vehicle and it won't be a daily anymore) and block a couple of the holes in the plate that allows oil to transfer to the front and back of the transmission to slow down oil going from front to back.

I can't say I know from personal experience, but Jeff over at heavythrottle does. He said the transmissions are interchangeable. Most people sell engine/transmission together and 99.9% of the time refuse to separate the 2 and sell them separate. That is why alot of people say they don't work, when in fact they do. That way people stop asking questions.

He has s13 engine +s13 transmission.transmission is grinding because syncros are bad and the gears are having trouble matching speed to mesh as designed.

Can he bolt on the S14 transmission to his S13 motor was the question.

/\ thanks for the info but it might be a while i have so much going on right now. Im just needing to know just in case i find one locally for a good price. I have thought of doing the ka transmission but just don't feel like having to change over the bell housing.
