You might have already figured out your answer, but I would say a firm maybe. I did the exact opposite and put an S13 transmission into my S14. The thing will all bolt up fine. There are a few parts that you'll want to swap from your old S13 transmission to the new S14 transmission (I assume you have a damaged s13 manual transmission cause you'll need those parts!). There is a different style of drive shaft adapter dust cover thing, so you'll have to pull that off and swap it, I used pullers to remove and board and mallet to install. There is a different style of speed sensor, so you'll want to swap that part out, the S13 style was like fused so I took out the screw and tapped the tab on the sensor that has the hole for the screw with a hammer to get the entire sensor to rotate in the hole, then twisted out, the S14 sensor was plastic and popped out easy. There is a CAS sensor in the bellhousing for the S14 that you won't need for your S13 ECU, so pull it and maybe plug the holes with short bolts. Since the wire harnesses are kinda different, you might as well pull that out with all your posistion sensors and harness and use that on the S14 transmission. Be sure to note which sensor does what, I screwed up and had my neutral and 5th reversed after install and it gave me a rev limit of 5250rpms until I put them where they belonged. The only real issue is there won't be a place for your, um, 4th gear possition sensor (i think its 4th) so you'll have to leave it unplugged. This is where the maybe part comes in because I'm not sure how that missing sensor will affect the ECU. I'd guess it could all work fine, it could cause a check engine light and the worst might be a rev limit of some sort. Tip: before taking it apart, match mark you drive shaft at the four bolts and put that flange back onto the same four bolts (affects balance, don't accidentally rotate 90 or 180 degress) keep track of which bellhousing bolt comes from which hole (different lengths). Tip: before putting transmission on the car and while things are still easy to get at , be sure all posisition sensors are tightened down and test them with a continuity testor while changing gears, be sure the drain and fill plugs aren't seized to the case, clean the electrical connection plugs for all the sensors to insure continuity.
