I searched and read but wanted a little more input. So please correct me if im wrong.

All that i need to do a s14 to s15 front end swap is

FendersHood Headlightsfront bumpercore support

is any welding needed? If i dont do the core support swap out are there kits with headlight brackets? or will i need to make my own? Will the headlights wiring connectors need to change?what are the typical do not do when doing this swap?

Thanks!Pic for clicks

Okay, pretty generic, but here's a good answer:

Don't do an S15 swap. They're played out, they don't look right, the body lines don't flow, and they're just plain ugly.

If you want to do a front end conversion, do an S14 kouki front end.

if the body lines on a s14 dont match what about the s13

why does every one do the s15 conversion, if you want a s15 buy one, it will cost alot more but it will be more baller then any s13.5 or s14.5

i say dont do a conversion and spend all the money on a crazy engine swap (ls1, vq35, rb26, vg30)

The blue one maybe, the other one not so much. But it is such an expensive conversion i will give a +1 to the kouki conversion (kouki's look f***ing sweet to) and the money you save can be put towards maintenance/suspension/brakes/power. You don't want a car that looks crazy fast and is all stockness underneath. "Woah look at that baller s15 i bet its got a killer sr""Oh..just kidding, its a s14 with a ka"

Hi! My car is in the shop right now as I'm typing this getting the S15 front end conversion.

True, its everyone preference in the end on style, so don't be intimidated by others.

On the core support subject, you can use the S14 core support, you just have to drill two more holes to mount the S15 headlights.

Any S15 hood can use the S14 hood hinges mounting.

The S15 headlights will need some wiring work, or you can just buy some plugs from someone who has already mod it to plug and play directly.

Fenders, I bought S14.5 Origin 20MM conversion fenders rather than buy S15 OE metal fenders. I felt like it would involve more money, but if done right, will turn out better and stronger than fiberglass. When you purchase fiberglass fenders, don't expect it fit perfectly, it will involve some fitting and cutting.

Heres my price list on my S15 parts:

S15 OEM Headlights (2x) $600 parts/w shipping probably $750 from nismoparts.comS15 Seibon DVll CF Vented Hood $640 with shipping from LSD Motorsports on ebayS14.5 Origin 20MM Fiberglass (2) $421 with shipping from intensepower.comNo S15 front bumper yet

I'll post a thread later on with pics in a week.

Hopes this helps.

I see your point but everyone has a starting point. Mine happens to be on appearance. Im not worried about speed atm because honestly i get in enough trouble as it is with stock none turbo motors as it is. Later on i may just do a simple ka-t but nothing really more i just want my car to look sharp and right now im on the fence with kouki or s14.5

i see what your saying about the body lines... but all of the ones ive seen here in cali are pretty conservative and dont look fuked up, they are show stoppers at meets, whether their s13.5 or s14.5 they look nice

it's funny how much A.D.D is on this forum, all these reply's and not a one answering the mans question. so i will, things you will need for the s15 conversion on a 240sx include but are not limited to....s15 front fenderss15 headlights (get protective wrap for the lights as they are not cheep and you wouldnt want to scratch them all to hell during you test fittings)s15 core support (this is optional for the best fit right off the bat yes buy this otherwise a sawsal to your stock one works fine lol)s15 hood (dont forget the hood latches!!!)s15 front bumper (dont get the stock bumper get a bodykit one from extremedimension so that the FMIC you better have can fit)

TOOLS:make sure you have a complete metric and us standard socket set on handdrill with every bit from hairline to bigger than your thumbtap and die set these will be handy for the hood mostly since the back mounting holes will not bolt up, youll have to make your own holes (and if i here your one of the morons that only left the front mounting bolts on i'll kill you)heat gun! this is a big, since most of your parts are going to be eather carbon or fiberglass regardless of the grade with enough applied heat on the INSIDE of the panel you can fix many molding errors such as odd bows and fitting problems.dremal kit you just never know...misc mounting hardwareyou will lose some of what you have it's gods law to mechanics, just keep some on hand including dry wall screws.a wax pen these are awsome for making marks where you need to trim, cut drill whatever and they just wipe right off.tape measure dont eyeball anything if it dosnt line up FIX IT!!! (check your hood gaps with it to)a nice cold one for when the job is done just an extra note, buy some dupont 3939 wax and grease remover and some 3919 prepsol, this way when it's done you can wash of (with a rag) all the oils and crap you got on the headlights, hood, fenders, bumpers that way when you paint it you dont have to see how dirty your hands were

I think the cleanest look for this conversion is to use the stock s15 front bumper, maybe with greddy lip to make it look a lil more aggressive.
