THe lower harness from my 93 KA DOHC will not fit my S14 transmission plugs. The KA plugs on the lower harness plug up just fine on the engine but down to the transmission comes nowhere near the back plug and plugs dont fit on the transmission. I still have my S14 lower harness any suggestions? Help is much appreciated

get an s13 speed sensor, if needed, extend the wires and all the other plugs are not needed. seems odd to me though about the fitment, I do this swap every other day at our shop and we don't have too many problems with the harness.

Well the S14 lower harness wont fit the fuse box so my buddy up in PA told me to use the KA I thought things would go smooth but KA plugs are completely different from the S14 SR harness so now im in big trouble cause now nothing plugs up right

what fuse box are you using? you should retain your factory fuse box and lower ka harness

the original 93 ka fuse box. I got to thinkin about buying the year 95 through 98 year model 240 (S14) lower harness or takin a look at one to see if it matches the jdm lower harness just a thought though

well, you know none of the plugs are needed except for the very last plug on the transmission which is your speed sensor. but you will need an s13 speed sensor if you want the speedo to read correctly. only thing you will lost out on is your reverse lights.

Ahhhh So the back plug under the shifter has to be replaced with the S13 speed sensor huh? What would i lose out on by only plugging that one up?

Plus my final idea was buying the 95 through 98 model lower harness to see if the plugs matched up and what not

only thing you lose is your reverse lights. There are a alot of plugs I know, but you don't need any of the other ones, you won't notice anything missing. I do these swaps all the time, don't waste your money on another lower harness. Just get your s13 speed sensor and plug it up, zip tie the rest of them away and everything will be just fine.

yeah, you will have to hard wire the plug, it runs to your fuse box on one of the plugs, it's a two prong connector on the transmission. green and black wires should be, cut your original plug and splice it to the sr plug on the transmission. hope this helps.

Ahh that sounds awesome! BUt I have no idea which out of the three plugs on the transmission is the right one... I assume the plug under the shifter is the speed sensor that i will replace if so but the other 2 plugs I have no idea about and i dont know which plugs on the harness are the correct ones out of the i think 6 of the plugs to splice to make it happen any way i can possibly take the plugs off the jdm lower harness to the transmission splice the ka connectors off and replace them for the jdm and if soo which ones are the correct ones

yeah, I believe that will work, on your ka harness, the colors for the wires should be green and black, it should be a two pin plug. look for a matching plug on your lower sr harness and plug it in, then test for positive and negative and splice the green and black wire onto the new plug.
