Hey guys been searching for info on RB powered S14s but cant really find much at all that helps. Basicly has anybody got any info on the build up, like what parts do i need and what parts are compatible i.e my coilovers? My car is the Q's model (n/a) What obstacles will i come across? Does anyone no of any websites that might help or point me towards the right people to talk to?

Cheers all

Do you not see that this question is stupid?

Here is why. Break it down..

What do you need to put a bigass engine into an S14 that wasn't originally in the car?

Hmm.. mount kit or custom mounts. Possibly a driveshaft.

What do you need to get it running?

Hmm.. dedication, money, an ECU, wiring harness, intercooler + piping, and all the components necessary to get the engine running exactly like it's supposed to.

What obsticles will you come across?

Lots. You will find out when you start. Everyone comes across different ****. The biggest obsticle is getting the engine running properly.

That is the concept. You don't have it if you are asking questions like this. Brainstorm! Just like we did in gradeschool..

There are lots of websites on the net to help you out. First, look at the sponsors on this website. Search the forums and read all of the same questions that have been answered a thousand times over.

G'day.

He said WHAT do you need to put a big *** engine in that shouldnt be in there, not WHY DO YOU WANT TO put the engine in there. He wouldnt be making fun of you for considering it since him and just about the whole rest of the board has already done it. Also if your going to use it for m4d tyte drifting, you should know that the engine is a at least 150 pounds heavier and throws off the cars natural balance, not that people havent done done well here with em. Seriously though, read. Search. There are many web sites out there, you can type it into a google search engine right now and get a full guide on the S14 swap with pictures from Sport Compact Car.

I think it'd be better to invest in some driving classes before investing in gobs of brutal horsepower for "t3h m4d tyt3 d7ft1n6" if anything he'll crash N' burn. I'd probably suggest stiffer shocks, sport pads, ss lines, ATE brake fluid and an lsd. Maybe an intake would be good also. I'd never buy an RB26 for drifting.

Not that Im knocking you because I want one myself but not for that reason.

I would go to some of the aussie or NZ boards if I was you... this is the place for KA to RB swaps, but you have an SR20DE right? I'm sure there are some significant differences between a KA and an SR to RB swap.

Which coilovers are you running? I'd say you will probably be fine with whatever ones you have... even with the change to the RB. NZ has right hand drive cars correct? I'm jealous... this should be a fairly easy swap for you with a rhd vehicle.

Im running Tein HA's which i like so am happy to keep them.

Yes in NZ we have rhd cars so we get the phat JDM cars + a fairly lax back attitude with emmisions(sp) ,not to mension some bloody good tuners over here too. The down side is, is that we dont see vipers and vettes everyday............. But when we do where over taking them anyway Thanks for your reply, cya

Vipers are cool.

Vettes = Snore.. that's just my opinion though.. As for the RB swap, good luck. Searching a lot is tedious, but it definitely yields results in the long run.
