Does anyone know if a '95 KA24DE timing chain kit will work on my '93 KA24DE? They seem the same but part numbers are different, and I know that sometimes manufacturers change part numbers to make you pay more for older parts. Thanks in advance.

call nissan and ask them for the part number for the kit of the earlier year and see if they give you the same number for the kit you have. it may have just been a parts revision to the original meaning it could simply be they changed supplyers of the kit.

For instance, the part numbers for the upper chain are:

1993: 13028-00004 from http://www.courtesyparts.com/S13_DOHC-TBKIT.html

1995: 13028-53F11 from http://rx78.mine.nu/240sx/

I have heard that the only difference in the timing chain system from '93 to '95 was that Nissan got rid of the chain guides.

It is most likely the same... as you mentioned the only difference is the lack of the upper chain guide, which you don't even need.
