Anyone else have this problem? I checked fuses bulbs. Im thinking it may be the switch on the brake pedal? Ive been looking through the fsm trying to make sense of this its also only when the headlights are on the third brake light stays on.

On the s13, there is a little rubber stopper that goes in a hole on the brake pedal and is a b**** to get in...

Mine recently broke for the second time - 1 last me 18 years on the car, and the new one from Nissan last me 2 years... now I am using the one from Japan haha..

I replaced that stopper, and the one in the clutch pedal with a nut and bolt, and I will never have the problem again. they just push on little electric push switches anyway.

However, note of caution: if you do what I did you have to adjust the shaft going from the break pedal to the break master cylinder. the pedal will rest on these switches, and the bolts push the break pedal slightly further in than the rubber stoppers do at rest. this means that if you don't adjust it, your break pedal will always be push slightly in, which will lead to your breaks locking up after a little while breaking from the vacuum not releasing.
