I'm going completely original and putting a CA in my S14

I think it should be fairly easy to swap

Would you see any major problems?Size/Fit?

Motor mounts...any way i could use KA mounts, or would i have to get custom mounts...how much would that cost?

If you think im stupid and this is a dumb idea please do yourself and me a favor and dont post anything thanks

I've been wanting to do this for a while, but haven't found an S14 for the right price.

It's been done, but pretty rare.

i've got one

mounting is same as s13, use the mounts it comes with or get some nismo CA ones, you can use KA but it sits different. I had issue with collar at end of transmission rubbing driveshaft and sparking through my shifter area but that was easy to fix, and I'm not sure if it's cause s14 or cause I had to get a bellhousing from junkyard and attach KA transmission (mine came auto).

Wiring will be your most difficult issue I would say. Theres very good documentation here

That should get you through everything wiring wise. Goodluck

Yes thats Awesome!!

People have been giving me crap about weight difference from the s13 to 14

and the loss of torque with a ca

Well the ka makes less torque then the ca, and the s14 weighs only about 70 lbs more so i think it will be fineI read about some complications with the transmission not really fitting exact

how did you fix that problem?

Props though man, if i ever need some help i might e mail you or something if thats cool

People make the debate that s14 is more rigid/handles better so thats a counterpoint even though I have no evidence of it.

As for the transmission mine bolted up fine and everything just that collar that rubs the driveshaft, but that is very easy to take off.

The s14's gas tank is in a MUCH better place. But the weight difference between a bare bones S13 and most S14's, is way more than 70lbs.

Regardless, I still want one and I want to put my CA in it.
