i've been doing some research lately since i plan on picking up an s14 stock t28 turbo, but have not been able to find a conclusive answer. i'm trying to determine if the s14 t28 is a ball bearing turbo or not. some people say all s14 t28s are bb while others say the zenki s14 srs have a journal bearing turbo and only koukis are ball bearing, still others say the euro s14 srs got the journal bearing turbo and jdm ones got the ball bearing turbos. i'm just looking to clear all this confusion up and get a straight answer.

If it's like the s15, only the jap version get ball bearing.

my understanding is that all s14 sr t28's are ballbearing and its the pulsar gtiR t28's that are journal bearing

There are earlier year s14 mine is a zenki w26 ecu from 1993 . It had the 69-foo bb turbo they also have a 71-foo turbo also which i think is the journal then the 91-foo is the s15 .And the zenki has the valve cover studs and the kouki has the bolts.
