I have an s13 blacktop with an s14 t28, which I just recently swapped for my s15 t28 because of an oil leak between the center housing and the turbine-probably due to a bad seal because I was burning too much oil(whenever the boost kicked in). I just put back the exhaust manifold w/ s14 t28, but I am a bit skeptical on whether or not the oil will drain freely without pressure, so I have yet to clamp down the oil return hose. I filed down my t25 oil outlet to fit my t28, but I keep thinking that oil might back up into the turbo (possibly the cause for leaks to my s15 t28), because of a slight bend of the return hose. The position it is currently in does not touch the steering rack but it has me a bit worried on whether or not this will drain without pressure because of the location of the return hose on the block and the location of the outlet on the turbo. I have read a few threads about reclocking the turbo and/or getting the s14/s15 oil return tube, but if what I have will work, why go back and forth with the manifold? Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for checking out my post.

well if it's at a downward slope it should still drain. however that line doesn't look like it'll last all that long when it starts getting ripped on by the steering. With that said, why didn't you clock the turbo properly?

thats how they installed it on my manifold for me. i did not want to risk messing up the turbo when i loosen the bolts to reclock. with the car still jacked up, i turned the wheel excessively left and right, and the steering rack did not touch the drain hose at all.

wait for the engine vibration to shake the hose around btw.

also have them re-clock it if it was a shop that installed your turbo.
