Been trying to figure out the feasibility of using another car's sun visors in the 240sx to replace mine. Mine work fine and everything, they're just ugly. I don't want to recover them either.

From what I can tell so far, most newer nissan and infiniti cars use 2 screws with the center post offset to where it's like a triangle shape. The older sun visor mounting point is more of a line, so it would seem I need something with the same mounting bracket.

In looking at pictures of visors on ebay, the closest thing I could find that might work is a Nissan Quest sun visor from 1998 or earlier. I also noticed that several of them have lighted vanity mirrors.

Has anyone had luck, or have you tried getting a different sun visor to fit?

Ideally the sun visors would have the vanity mirrors and if I'm super lucky... homelink If no homelink, I could always cut up a homelink mirror and stick that somewhere else.

Thanks in advance, I know this is an odd request.

Anyone have a nissan quest and a 240sx to check fitment between? They look like they'd work from pictures I've seen of the sun visors as mentioned in the original post

Thanks guys.

Take your visor to a junk yard and start with nissans then move to mazda(I hear lots of weird things match up between the brands) then on to what ever.

That's a good idea, except all the pick a parts out here only have OLD cars that I can dig through.

I'll just have to go around to the pick-a-part nearest me sometime when I have a lot of spare time to check fitment of the visors.

After I no longer have a need for these stock visors, they will be for sale.

The visors themselves just slip on the posts. Don't necessarily have to use the post the visor came on .That should eliminate the lining up problem....

they do fit, but you have to be very paitent and swap out the mounting brackets over. I can post pics of it later when I get home.
