S14 Strange Clutch / Starting Issue KA24de

Here is a video of what happens to my friends 5-speed s14 sometimes when only the High beams are on and the clutch is pressed the car will try to start.

Additionally when the car is driven when this is happening it sounds like the starter is grinding only when the high beams are on(I know the sound from my z32) upon the clutch being pressed, when this happens all the lights dim and the headunit and gauges turn off completely for a second.

What do you guys think?

So after some though to me it seems like the clutch being depressed and the headlights on are completing the starter circuit, which would also explain the starter grind when in motion. Please let me know if you guys have seen or heard about this before, I have a feeling this is a bad wiring job or something.
