S14 SR20DET Turbo, oil seals blown?

'89 240sx, S14 zenki sr, ran for a while and i parked it when it had an exhaust leak from the turbo-manifold connection. I've almost got the whole turbo off the car, but theres a decent amount of black oil on the intake side. Enough oil that if you ran your index finger through it, your whole finger would be covered in oil. but after wiping it down with a finger once the oil is pretty much gone. Could it be possible that my turbo is going out? my car did great on emissions, didnt smoke, boosted 7psi most the time, then went up to 12psi. I'm going to finish changing the exhaust gaskets today, and hope this turbo still works.

How much oil is too much for the intake side of a turbo?
