Hello guys, I am currently running into a starter issue, I have a 95 s14 w/ the s14 sr in it. At first I had it taken to a shop b/c the starer wasn't receiving the signal from the ingition. That got taken care of, about a week and a half ago the starter was dying, so I replaced it. Today when i went to start the car it struggled to start, so i waited a minute. When i tried again it tried to start, but then I heard the motor of the starter just turning and turning (as if the teeth weren't making contract with the flywheel). That went on for about 10 seconds. after waiting again now nothing at all happens when i try to start the car.
I just pulled the replacement starter, I'm not 100% but the teeth don't seem damaged. Im going to take it to get checked. if the starter checks okay I'll have to take it back to the shop I guess.
Anybody have this sort of problem before? I wasn't able to find anything through here or google.
