i think the answer is just tapping the hot pipe with a nipple for a vacuum hose and block the little nipple on the intake pipe, i would just like verification.

____question:

i am going from an eBay turbo to a S15 T28. i am modifying the hotpipe i have. the question i have is running the vacuum hoses from the AEM truboost solenoid.

i was wondering if the small nipple could be used as #3[turbo pressure] on the boost controller solenoid OR would i be better off using a vacuum nipple made into the hotpipe?

using an intake pipe like this one:

It doesn't matter what you use, as long as it sees boost. Usually you're better off close to the turbo so you catch a signal before any pressure loss is seen, and therefore you have more range of boost control.

So yeah, either use the nipple coming off the turbo if available, or put one on the hot pipe if you can.

Thank you PapaSmurf. I will install a nipple on the hot pipe as close to the turbo connector as i can. thanks.

That's what I had to do for my gt3071r. I don't know why hot pipes never have the nipple but they should considering every vacuum diagram clearly shows that thr boost controller IS NOT from the intake mani to wastegate, its from hot pipe to wastegate like you are talking about.

Lol no that's not the intake manifold..... That's just just the intake. The bov goes there to be” recirculated”

not the big a** hose going to my intake, but the small vacuum line closest to us when looking at the pic. The vacline follows the MAF and CAS wiring

Yeah, a BOV is also NOT a wastegate.
The BOV needs to see both vacuum AND boost, the wastegate just needs to see boost.
