so i just swapped in s s14 sr20det into my s14. put it in wired it up connetced hoses and all that. but when i started it up it runs like s**t, its smoking it, idles at 500 rpm, it dosnt feel like reving up.but i was just wouldering if someone could let me know if i did everything right like: vacume lines (where do i run them, which to block off and which not to), fuel lines( i have one extra fuel line that i dont know where it goes ao i just plugged it off??) and anything else that could help to know. and if its possible could someone take a pic of how everything should look when hooked up right (i have a stock s14 sr20det, only upgrade is front mount and downpipe)

I cant relly help much.... I was told the 3rd fuel line is a breather and dont get hooked to anything but im s13 sr in s14. all I can say is Timming-vac./boost leaks.- intake/maf leaks/bad maf- Throttle body vac ports= 1: fuel pressure regulator 2: BOV/boost gauge (If you have a boost gauge which you should vac at idle should be at about -25) #3 under throttle body should be capped. unless you dont have a wastegate port on your hot pipe because you will get bad boost responce with the wastegate line going all the way to the TB! If your vac at idle is not @ -25 or so, you know you have a boost leak which is about 80% of SR's problems!

so thats what the 3rd line is for, i just plugged it up but i'll probally unplug it. i dont know if its a boost leak yet but im gonna keep trying to figure out what it is. i tryed the MAF and thats good, CAS works, injectors are firing at same speed, i didnt check timing yet. im hoping its not the turbo cause i checked all the lines and none are leaking, im hoping the turbo isnt blown . if that is the right way to hook up the throttle body i think i got it wrong this is how mine looks:

the hose thats connected all the way to the right is a fuel line, then i dont know what the other two to the left are. and the lines with the vacume hose connected to them are my turbo acuator and BOV

THe 2 vacuum lines that have the blue hose's on them should go to the carbon canister, boost solenoid and the stock BOV(S14 SR is not on the same side as S13 SR's) the empty vacuum nipple can be used for the S14 boost pressure sensor or capped off. The large one that is being pointed to is for the IACV. All of these need to be hooked up right or the motor will run like ****. For the most part the smaller lines can be capped off or run to things like BOV and the boost solenoid without affecting how the motor runs, but the large line must be connected to the charge piping in order for the car to idel correctly.
