s14 sr20det is stalling, could brake booster be the cause????

hey i have an s14 sr20det and all of a sudden its stalling before this when i would begin slowing down and stopping it would feel like it wanted to shut off, not when i stop or start slowing down and let they idle come down it just dies could it be a vacuum leak or brake booster problem???please help i'm in the army and is my only vehicles thanks

Well if it was your brake booster, you would probably be experiencing a lack of power brakes.

But yes, it could be a vacuum leak of some sort. You can use propane or starting fluid to look for vacuum leaks... spray it around suspect areas, and if you hear the car idle up, you know there is a leak there.
