I did a search, but only found posts about S13 SR20DET's into S14s. So anyways, I was wondering how much trouble this would be. Is it possible? Answer at your own leisure I'm in no hurry, and please don't flame the n00b formerly known as fenrisx.

Still bolts in, just the wiring that changes.

One question-why would you want to? The s13 sr20 is half the price and only lacks the s14's better turbo (as far as I know, the only reason for the s14's increased power is it's t28 turbo). With the extra 2-3k you could easily add a pfc and the t28 from the s15-a setup with considerably more hp.

I was just asking. I wasn't really sure what the price of a S14 sr20det was.

Im lost on where an S14 costs 2-3000 more than an S13 engine or front clip. At most the S14 is 1500 more, and on average the number is less than a thousand. With the extra money your buying yourself a little insurance that the engine will have less wear and tear. Remember that the last redtop was sold in 1993. Thats enough time to get thrashed and plenty of time to get weathered against the elements sitting in some junkyard.

And the Blacktop S13 SR's may be newer but they will save you about 1000 or less than an S14 SR.
