S14 SR20det in an s13

Hey well I am going to get an SR but I don't know which one too get. I'm stuck between the s13 black top or the s14. I have a 1989 240sx fastback, I was just wondering how hard it is to install the s14 engine in an s13 or if any of you know any books, videos or websites that walk you through it. Basically it would be about a grand more for an s14 than an s13 black top and I wanted your guys opinion on whether or not it is worth the money. I know it make around 15 more horsepower but what else besides the variable valve timing is a benefit of the s14.

Yeah, I'm in the same predicament too with my '90 fastback. I'm probably going to put in the red top sr20det.

I found this link on drifting.com. Some guy decided to document his whole process in putting in an sr20det engine plus the skyline r32 brake system and sell it on dvd. Might sound stupid, but I'm down for a visual tutorial. Anyways, here's the link: http://www.drifting.com/articl...itle=

Hope this helps a bit at least on deciphering how the whole process is going to be. In the meantime, you know any good locations for sr20's in south cali?
