Hey nico, im a new member to this forum and this is my first post. if i am doing something wrong, in terms of how to use the forum please let me know. anyway, i have done a fair amount of research on this topic and there is a large gray area that i cant seem to wrap my head around. anyway, i got a good deal on an s14 blacktop sr20de so i threw it in my 91 s13 with plans on turbocharging it. now, i have 2 options: if i turbocharge it, i either get a tune, -nistune or a standalone and tune OR i convert my distributor to a cas and run an sr20det ecu. now my question is, i know the de and det sr's dont have the exact same sensors and engine management so im kinda confused as to how thats going to work.. apparently im not smart enough to get it but to everyone else it makes sense to the point where an explanation isnt needed. now, are the pinouts on the ecu the same? how will the ecu even be able to follow whats happening with the de+t? i know it would be a better idea to just get a standalone but for my goal hp and psi for the moment, there isnt really gunna be massive power output so i dont need too much until i decide to actually build the engine but by then, id probably just go det. any help ont he topic would be much appreciated. thanks again.
