Hey guys I was looking at the S14 SR20DET at http://www.barnettpandd.com/nissan/engines_rwd.htm and it shows for $3200 anybody know if that needs to be rebuild or is it ready to put in the car?

If you buy a motor from a reliable shop it should not have to be rebuilt and should be ready to be installed. Why not just pay a little more and get one from heavythrottle or phase2 and not have to worry about it.

Id check out HeavyThrottle, Phase2 or http://WWW.240SXmotoring.com. Those are probably the best places for your SR needs and they also have low prices.

I decided to rebuild mine after taking a good look at what was left of the clutch. Good thing too, the exhaust valve guides were WAAAY out of spec. Gave me a good excuse to buy a bunch of hot rod stuff from JWT...

Did most of you replace your clutch when you did your swap??... I know I dident mainly because I was short on money but I was just wondering how many of us did and if it is absolutly needed to swap out the clutch.

I replaced mine, I got a deal on an exedy stage 1. Didn't need it(motor only 20K est.) but just wanted to be safe.
