s14 sr20det coolant temp gauge doesnt move?????

Ok i searched and didnt get a a clear answer. I wired up my s14 sr20det and everything works but the coolant temp gauge. It just stays all the way down.

Can it be the temp sensor? someone was telling me that when the temp sensor goes out it reads all the way hot??? not sure though.

Bad or grounded sensor typically = hot reading.

so should i swap over my ka24de sensor?
