I'm just making this post so its known in the future:

If you get a S14 SR20DE motorset without a mass air flow sensor, depending on the ECU model you can use a ka24e MAFS.

According to nissan's electronic parts system, the 23710-65F00 S14 ECU uses the 22680-52F00 MAF sensor, which is also used on the s13 SR20DET. Therefor, since we know the ka24e sensor works on the S13 turbo motor, it should also work on the early (93-96.5) s14 non-turbo motor. I am in the process of verifying this right now If your non-turbo ecu has a different part number on it, you can only use 1996+ s13-s15 non-turbo specific airflow sensors without modification.

I can now confirm without a doubt that the KA24E MAFS works perfectly with the early model S14 SR20DE. There is no hesitation, it revs freely throughout the rpm range and as far as I can tell without a wideband O2 sensor, the air/fuel ratio is good.
