SO i got my harness back and I put my car together and when i hook the battery up , there are sparks coming from the negative battery terminal. that's problem #1. then i noticed that I have no dash lights and none of my gauges work, thats problem #2. then my car sounds like a WRX, thats problem #3. Can anyone help me with this? i sent my harness to wiring specialties but that Yury guy didn't seem very helpful. Im gonna call him again but in the meantime doesn anyone know?for the gauges, i don't think the cluster is getting any signal from the ECU but my wiring was fine when i did my SOHC to DOHC KA swap. so why is there nothing now? his site says that he gaurantees working gauges, but then he tells me that most of his customers don't have working gauge clusters. Im confused. thanks in advance.

You will need to install the S13 speed sensor and water temp sensor (single wire) for those two gauges to read properly. But it sounds like something is not properly connected, grounded or wired.

im using the KA speed sensor. I think maybe when i cut and connected the ECU to the chassis harness maybe one of my splices weren't connected well enough, i looked at it and it seems ok, but all i did was twist the wires together and put liquid tape over it. so maybe it's not reading to the cluster. but when i had my SOHC to DOHC swap on the same car, the gauge cluster read just fine. but the engine is still doing the same thing, it seems like it's misfiring. the engine is shaking, and sounds like a WRX. and idles fine for alittle bit, then dies if you leave it alone. any other suggestions?
