I just got done with my swaping an s14 sr into an s13. About a week ago I started it up and it had some problems at first but I worked them out and adjusted the CAS to get it to idle perfectly at 800 rpms, however it never let me rev past 3k. So I changed out a coupler because I thought the way I had it before may have given me an intake leak.I started it up today and it wont idle, I have to keep my foot on the gas to get it to stay running. I checked my maf and there is one wire that is barely hanging on at the plug. I figured this might be the problem but just to check I unplugged the MAF and started it up and it still wanted to die if I didn't keep on the gas, but it let me rev to 4k this time. I've got 550cc injectors in there, although I don't think this is the problem. Really needing some help here.

If you unplugged your maf and the car did not do anything different then that is a problem. I don't know if its the one you are having but the MAF would definitely have those symptoms...Also did you just plug in new injectors without anyway to manage them?

No management. Would this be that much of an issue? I thought it would just run really rich?

Hmmmmm, I've checked a few times for vacuum leaks and I haven't found any.

Touge, you need to get it tuned to be running 550cc's. You'll wash down the cylinder walls and eventually fill your crankcase with fuel... Although that might not be the issue, the injector o-rings could be. Make sure they aren't leaking/broken/rolled and that they are lubed, non petro based lube will help seal. Leaking around the orings could occur and you'd have a very hard time finding that.

also, what is your fuel pressure and what FPR/fuel pump are you using? when my car was doing this my pressure was off.

The O-rings are good. I checked them before I put them in and I even got a diagram from SaRD to make sure I had them assembled right, however I never put any lube on them. I am ordering new injector spacers and an FR aeromotive FPR so I'll check the O-rings again and put some of that lube on there when I take them out. As far as tuning goes I am going to run either a J or D-Jetro Power FC, haven't decided which one yet but I am leaning towards D-Jetro so if I ever build the motor I will not have any problems with a MAF.

Hmmmmm.... Also, I didn't mention this earlier but when I first completed my swap I wasn't getting any power to my fuel pump. It turned out that for some reason the ground wire coming from my fuel pump relay wasn't getting a complete connection and I never did figure out why. What I ended up doing was grounding it to the chassis and installing a switch so I control when the pump turns on and off. I don't know how that setup is supposed to work; does the ecu tell the fuel pump relay when to turn on and off so that there is fuel cut when needed? If so then I need to find out what to do about this.
