S14 Sr20 timing kit question

Ok, I'm rebuilding my SR so I want to buy a timing kit but I don't know if I'm going to receive the right one cause all the pics I see have the s13 sr cam gears. Whats the part # for the s14 cam gears? S14 SR owners did you just replace the chain or replace everything? and where you got it from? thanks for your help and any info in advance and yes I searched.

Ummm.....I'm pretty sure that the only differance from the s13 SR and S14 SR is the heads. S13 SR's have a high port head design and S14 SR's have a low port design. I beleive that is the only differance.

you have to replace all the timing component for a complete timing chain job. s14 has a vvt cam, so i think the sproket might be different compare to s13.

Yeah.. I just concern cause I never see this cams gears on the products pics I always see the S13 gears. I rather ask and be flame than don't ask and waste the money on the wrong part. thanks

If you can wait till tomarrow ill get you some excact part numbers, but I am sure you the only difference is the intake(VCT) cam. Heck you can even use the KA cam bolts in the SR!! haha

i got the same exact problem, i can't find the intake cam sprocket for sale only the exhaust one is the same. the timing chain kit on ebay seems to have the proper parts besides the intake cam gear and http://www.courtesyparts.com can supply you with the rest of the stuff you need like bolts and gaskets when you're doing the timing chain kit.

so that begs the question, does anyone know where to buy that intake cam sprocket for the s14 sr?

btw, does anyone know the part number for the variable valve timing actuator or where to even get one since that poses a problem and should be fixed while doing the timing chain on a s14 sr.
