s14 sr20 swap questions...

Hello, I'm a noob here, so pardon my ignorance, but I was considering buying a 98 240 for the purpose or swapping in an sr20det, but I am getting mixed answers to if the swap is leagal or not for the street. I know I would have to put in an engine that is 98 or newer, but thats about all I know. Also, if anyone has any tips on doing this swap in an s14, I would really like to hear them, I've found a lot on s13's nut not the s14's. I'm in AZ, so if anyone knows of a good place to get the engine nearby, please let me know. Thanks in advance for all the help!

it is not legal thats i know of, but it varies from state to state, but hey, there are plenty of crooked smog shops anyways. who will know anyways.

You don't necessarily have to put in an engine that is a '98 or newer. you can put it an S13 redtop, or blacktop, s14, rb you name it. This might help....http://www.srswap.com
