I finally got my swap running but it now has a rough idle. Its wierd because when it first started it was running fine. when I couldnt get it started at first I realized I had a bad CAS so I swapped it out and it ran great. but anyways. when I start the car it rpms at like 2000 which is high and the engines shakes alot like it trying to stall. once over 2500 when driving there are no issues. so any ideas?

Try cleaning the IACV, Check for boost leaks, and make sure all your sensors are plugged in. Last but not least Check your ecu for codes if its throwing any

ok I took out the whole upper intake (IACV is on top since it an s14 sr20) took the IACV off cleaned it real good and checked for vacuum leaks. I think I found one underneath of the IACV, there a pipe that goes to it and some of the gasket material was cracked. I replaced the gasket and put it all back together. when it starts it goes to 1000 rpm which s way better. but after about ten seconds it starts idling like crap again. anyone else got any input?

there is a consult wire that should of been the wired for the gauge cluster plug. the wire is orange and if its wired into your cluster then you should see the CHECK ENGINE light on in your gauge cluster when you turn the car ignition on but NOT starting the car. from there you take a small Phillips screw driver and turn the small screw on the ecu clockwise or counter clockwise till you get code flashing from the check engine light on the gauge cluster. from there you just look up the code.

just remember long flash is the first digitshort flash is second digit1.5sec pause is between each code that will read out.

if you count code 55 then its normal
