Im getting and s14 sr20 ship to my door on weds. This is my second sr20 and the reason why its the second because The first sr20 spun a rod bearing. It was an s13 sr20 in and s14 chasis so i upgraded to and s14 sr20 this time. Since the engine will be out of the car and I have to have the harness shipped off. I figured i would upgrade the bearings. Is this a good idea? should i buy new stock ones? Or should i go with an aftermarket set? anyone had expirience with aftermarkets?

I have been wondering the same thing, but I think I'm going to go with ACL bearings because they are said to withstand higher temperatures, I guess because of the grooves and layered metals?

^ I heard the same. and ACL was wat I was looking at but I heard someone on another forum say that The stock ones have a bigger journals for oil to coat the crank.
