I did search forever but couldnt find good answers on this one. Anybody know the problems encountered putting the S14 SR20DET into an 89-90 240sx.

Is it worth putting the S14 one instead of the S13 one for a $1000 difference.

Most importantly how diffucult is the air conditiong to get working with the S14 motor or S13 motor, I live in Arizona, 122 degrees in the summer.

Thanks.

I think the isses are the varible timing wiring is a bit tricky and if you get a FMIC, the hotpipe needs to be custom modified because it won't fit under the hood of the S13. Other than that, I understand it to be quite similar to the Redtop.

I'd stick w/ the S13 motor. I dont think the VVT is worth the extra money or hassle

Is it really that much more diffucult though?

I have an 89 so I need to redo the power steering lines, and the cluster, should i just get an s13 front clip instead because that will all already be installed?

I would get the S13 clip... it will have everything to make your car run like new... JDM new
