Well I was driving to school then like all of a sudden the car started idling low like really close to zero. Example 1st gear slowing down clutch then neutral then rpms drop. When I accelerate 1000-2500 I hear a whistle like noise or something electric (sound like an electronic toy car) then goes away right after. Theory boost leak? Blown turbo?
P.s. the car has a little gas leak.
Please help thank you in advance

You're probably running rich and plugging up the catalytic converter. DO you hear any sort of backfire?

Well then, what's this "gas leak" all about?

Do you still have a MAF? I would check the inlet piping for a leak after the MAF, if so. It could explain the RPM weirdness, what with the a/f ratios being effed up.

DO you have a recirc valve? If not, compressor surge maybe?

Your chain tensioners being worn out also can make a bunch of weird noise and maybe the RPM stuff is from a loose chain? It's possible, I guess?
Low oil or a blockage can also make your chain be loose, as well as cause a bunch of weirdness unspecified. I'm not assuming your unsmart by saying that, btw. I blew out an SR once from not changing the oil frequently enough. lol

If I sound like I'm way out of my depth here, it's probably because you're kinda in the wrong area for SR engines, bro. You might wanna try your luck here: 240sx-180sx-silvia-forum.html

You are total right about the car running rich and I think it is the mass air flow sensor cause the intake isn't sucking air and (electric car noise) I think its my boost controller.

I edited the post right before you said all that. Have a look-see.

I'm gonna have my MAF sensor cleaned tomorrow I'll tell you the news. If its not that else do you think. Vacuum leak, unclean sensors. The idle goes down to like 50-200 then shoots right back to 1000. BTW if the MAF isn't working with the intake work as well?
