I have an S13 fastback and had a shop install a low mileage, cherry S14 SR20DET a while back.
I just got a Prosport A/F Gauge that I was planning to tap into the 02 signal at the ECU. To my dismay I came to the realization that the ECU is not the right one for my engine since the harness didn't match anything for the S14 SR ECU. After going through other diagrams it looks to be a ECU for a Black/Redtop S13 SR.
I'm upset that I was told it was a complete S14 SR (ECU has "S14 SR ECU" written on it), and it is not. Though I can't help but wonder if I'm short on HP since the S14 SR has the VTC versus the earlier S13. The engine has been running great otherwise.
Is it worth having to replace ECU & redo the wiring? The shop who did this for me is no longer in business so I can't go back. It dynoed 197rwhp @ 7psi with a fairly stock setup (intake and exhaust).
