After my swap my tach didn't worki bought the car as a shell(no motor) and dropped the sr ini amused the tach worked..

well the guys that wired my swap said that the problem was in the tachometer itselfso i bought another gauge cluster with a working tachand it still doesn't work.

What else could it be causing my tach not to work?

everything should work since its a 96 S14 SR in a 95 s14 chassis

If i were to buy an aftermarket tachometer what rpm signal should i use to ensure it will work?

Sounds like the wire isn't connected in the dash harness next to the ecu.
