Hey guys, just wanted to run my problem by you guys to see if anyone else has had this problem. Anyways, I've got my SR swaped in and my harness ran to the engine, dash, ecu, etc. Everything seems to be wired correctly and the motor will turn over. The problem I am having is the ECU isn't getting power. The Black/white wire at the SR/KA connectors that run in the engine bay isn't getting any power. To my understanding this black/white wire is for the ECU power. Also, there is a red/black wire that is for the ECU relay. Now, when I unplug the connector and touch a test light to the prong for the ECU relay(grounding it out) I can hear the ECCS and fuel pump relay's clicking which is telling me that it's powering up the ECU. I've looked over the harness and made sure everything is plugged up. The only problem I see is the ground wire that runs down by the altenator and is supposed to be bolted on the back of the altenator isn't bolted down. Would this not allow my ECU to be powered up? Also, the only thing I have wired up under the dash so far is the ECU, ignition, water temp, and ground for the dash. Unless S14's are different than S13's that is all I really need to have connected to get her up and running. If anyone can be of any help it would be greatly appreciated.

Also, i've tried searching for the EXACT differences between wiring up an S13 and S14 harness but have foung nothing. It seems not too many people are doing S14 swaps.

Update: I hooked up that ground wire by the alternator and it's still doing the same thing. Also, I checked the orange wire running into the ECU which I believe is for the Ignition and it's getting fire when I turn the key on. This is how I believe the ECU works, correct me if I'm wrong: When you turn the key on, it send a signal to the ECU via the orange ignition wire. Then the ECU grounds out the ECCS relay via the red/blk wire. The ECCS relay then sends power back to the ECU via the black/white wire which powers it up and does everything it's supposed to do. If this is correct and I am getting fire to the orange ignition wire then the only thing that could be wrong is the ECU correct? I would just try and get another ECU but thats a lot of money to spend to play the trial and error game.

Another thing, the donor car I got the s14, wiring, and ecu out of was in a wreck which smashed in the passenger front side of the car. It got hit so hard that it bent the firewall back and bent the bracket on the ECU and one of the metal covers. I took the ECU apart and can find anything wrong with it. Could the force of impact make it go bad? I wouldn't think so as long as the circuit board didn't crack but ya never know. Those things are very delicate. Anyways, anyone else have any idea's/insight on the matter?
