S14 SR into S13, some issues!

Alright, just finished installing my S14 SR into my S13, i got it to fire up. But it will barely idle. I had to use a Q45 ignitor, because I dodn't have a SR ignitor, the colors of the wires are different on the 14 compared to the 13 I guess because they aren't the same as the one on heavythrottle. So I matched them up they should be right. I have tried to set the timing on the distributor a couple of times now but now sucess, I still have to pull the bo,ts form the distributor to turn it to get it to crank. When I turn it, I can get it to barely crank, but it seems like some of the cylinders aren't firing, but they're getting fuel and spark, so I can only assume timing is off. I pulled the plugs and they were black with soot big time. I am also using a SOHC maf, but i am positive i got the wiring right.

Any ideas, I can't figure it out, any wires that anyone can think of that i missed when wiring it up. I'm stumped.

You can't use a SOHC maf on an S14 SR. I would say that is one of your problems. Get your hands on a S14 SR MAFS and go from there. There is someone selling one on Freshalloy last time I checked.
