S14 SR ECU question

I searched and couldn't find the answer I was looking for.I have a s14 Sr20det and I need to replace my ECU. Can I use any year S14 SR ECU? The reason I ask is that I don't know what year my engine is.

WC is the ECU code for the (early) Zenki 5spd. SR. Can't remember what the Kouki ECU code is though.

Well, the problem I'm running into is that the ECU I got with my front clip was a remanufactured ECU and it doesn't have the code on it. There are pictures of it in this threadhttp://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread?id=128032

Yeah that sucks. My motor set came with an ECU that looked stock but the car wouldn't run right. Upon further inspection, we found that one of the chips had been changed out. I had to find a stock unaltered WC coded ECU on ebay. They are pretty tough to find unmodified it seems.

I just found the metel plate that used to be mounted on the firewall of the clip. Is there anything on that that would give me a clue as to what the year is? There is a Model number on it but I don't think that tells me anything about the year.

It is GBYARUFS14UZ4F-J-E

You want a code WC SR20DET ECU. This is the 5-speed 94-98 Silvia ECU. It will work on both Zenki and Kouki S14 SR20 motors. My brother's motorset came with the wrong ECU. We ordered the WC ECU from RHDJapan on eBay. Had it from Japan in less than a week.

Does it matter what color WC ECU it is? I found a red WC, will that work?
