I'm new here, so I'm sorry if this is the wrong section.

I managed to blow my motor up after only 2 months of it being running since the first rebuild. I will try to update this as much as possible as the build goes on.

Yesterday I FINALLY pulled the rest of the motor and took it apart. It goes to the machine shop Wednesday.

Ouch, that cylinder! Looks like something got in there - what happened? Are you boosted?

You're absolutely in the right place!

And, yikes! Are you planning on keeping the block?

Yes, it's an SR20DET I have a TD06 20g on it right now.

I shifted from 3rd to 2nd while racing. Rocker arms all came apart and messed a bunch of stuff up.

Oh okay!

WELL, I wasn't at first and my dad went and bought me a block from some guy and when I had taken it all apart, I came to the realization that its no good. We're going to try boring it another 20 over (to make it 40 over) and hope that, that is enough. If it is, we'll be getting the head cnc'd because it's 86 mm and will need to be 87mm. So pretty much if that does work out, it'll be a pretty nice build!

So as of right now, nothing is 100% yet. It goes to the machine shop Wednesday.

Holy s*** that's some serious damage. Might be a lot easier to just get a block/head combo for relatively cheap than to try and fix that mess.

Also isn't a TD06 like, f*** huge? How much power are you making?

P.S. Get Rocker Arm Stoppers.

That's a relative term, but no. It's a rather small turbo. I already got a new block and head and the block turned out to be bad.

P.S. I had them.
