Just a quick question. Me and my buddy pulled his rear subframe out of his 95 240. We burned the rubber stock bushings and slammed all 4 of them out. We have the SPL Bushings in the freezer. Our plan is to take them out of the freezer and drop them into the subframe. After looking closely at the holes, I have noticed that there is a tiny lip at the bottom of the hole. It doesnt look like the bottom AL bushing will fit in there with that lip there. Do I have to cut that out or am I mistaken and it will fit?

Thanks.

PS: dont tell me to search, cause I did.

Thanks again

After removing the rubber you need to remove the thin sleeve around the rubber bushing.

Do a search atleast 3 people have put in SPL bushings, and documented it with pictures on this forum alone.

There's even a video of how to do it on youtube. They did the work to an s14 subframe.

I did a search on here. The tech page on here is good until it comes to install. When it gets there it says take it to a shop and have them install. Not really a good DIY. We saw sleeves on the front ones, but didnt seem them on the back ones. Guess I will check out youtube. If you have a link to the one you saw it would be appreciated.
