So I got to looking into my interior and the shift boot was destroyed from when I got it and I was going to look into replacing the boot however when I took out the trim for my 97 Kouki it looks like there were supposed to be some pins or something? I know from searching on the forum here I found that the S13 apparently had screws that held the boot in place? I am assuming I am gonna need to order a whole new assembly for the center console. My question is how do i disassemble the trim piece to change out the shift boot. I am going with a royal blue color and the black that was original to the car for now. Just want to be prepared for when the next one shows up so I don't break the new one.

Thanks everyone
Rob

there should be a retainer ring on the back side attaching to the main finisher. It slides over four pegs on the back of the finisher and is held on with push nuts.
