So I have done this before, with the black S14 seats into a hatchback... It has been so long I don't remember if I had to swap rails or anything, but here I am at it again. I have a S13 coupe and some S14 seats. I am to believe that these are the stock rails, but attempting to put them into my car they do not line up.

I search around and some people say I have to swap the rails, some say it bolts right up, some say that 3 holes line up. So far none of these options is the car. If the front lines up on one hole, the opposite side is off by a half inch. The back outside (closest to the door) bolt is about 2 inches forward from where it has to be (see picture) and the back inside, that goes on the floorboard hump, sits flat on the floor (see picture).

On top of this, I cannot swap any rails at all from the S13 seats. Has anyone got photos of how this is supposed to work? Am I being dumb?

Note: Both these photos are with the front inside bolt lined up, the outside one is off by a half inch..

They bolt directly up, no modification.

Try messing with the rails so they're even. They might have shifted out of place when you were moving them around.

A pry bar can help too.

Not all bolts line up, the rails are even. The one that is supposed to mount sideways onto the hump is sitting flat on the floor. The one that is on the outside by the door in the back is 2 inches short. It is lined up on the hole in the front. The rail is easily 2 inches short

if you are two inches short then slide the other rail forward/backwards 2in. left and right rails move independently. ive had s14 and currently have s15 seats in my s*** BOLT ON NO MODIFICATION.

The front one is lined up, both of the front ones almost line up exactly! The back is short. The rail is physically too short.

Here is where it sits in the back:

And here is where the back inside one sits, where it should be facing the hump:

The only thing that could have happened is if someone got those seats out of an S14, and put on different seat rails in order to fit their application, and now you got them with some non-original seat rails on them.

That is where I stand now. I do not believe these are S14 rails. The kid I bought them from said he got them to put in his vert but they were not direct bolt or something. I found it hard to believe that it would be different from a non-vert.

I am lost here. Now I have to find some S14 seats to mutilate... or whatever. This is getting costly...

EDIT are kouki s14 seats different from zenki s14s?

ummmm get a set of garbage s13 seats for free. rape the brackets. mount to your grandma padded s14 seats and roll out. COST EFFECTIVE!

I still have my s13 seats. The brackets don't mount the same or I would definitely do that. I have these in pieces trying to rig this thing up and it's just... not

edit

are these even S chassis seats? This is getting ridiculous. Never buy things from the internet, folks.

Locate a part number, google the part number, and hopefully you get an answer. :dblthumb:

I just got some s14 seats yesterday and I swear the side bolsters on my seats are wider, but it could be camera angle also

Couple things to note in comparison: the head rest seems wider, and the pattern in the middle goes all the way down the front of the seat, on s14 seats it stops about halfway through the bottom cushion. I am not seeing any markings on here to indicate their origination

The plastic piece that goes on the outside of the seat at the bottom has a part number "87330-0M000" and the number 97. Searching for this part reveals a part from sentras, 200sx, and even pathfinders. god.

the only thing I could think of is that they're from a 200sx which is an altima I think. seats may be the same but the brackets would be different. the altima and the S14 steering wheels are identical too so it is a possibility. that's gay if it is.

200SX is basically a 2dr Sentra. I am trying to track down some S14 brackets to try and swap this out, that will be a difficult task.

Buy a welder and modify your brackets.

That starts an addiction to "fixing" things.
